Each psychologist is qualified and experienced. The case loads that they carry are low, so that they can give each client good individual attention. Every psychologist also attends supervision meetings to allow for case discussion and support.

Deborah Lawton – Deborah is the principal psychologist and owner of Rose Park Psychology. She has a long experience of working with people who suffer from anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, work stress and conflict at work. She is experienced in recovery from trauma arising from work place incidents or motor vehicle accidents. Her special interest is in biofeedback.

She provides medico legal reports and vocational assessments.

She also does performance coaching and psychological assessment of disability, IQ, personality and for recruitment purposes.

 

Rachael Elliott - Rachael works with a wide range of clients providing treatment programs for anxiety and depression. She works with clients with issues relating to childhood abuse. She also has skills in motivational interviewing which apply to people with alcohol and other substance abuse issues.

Rachael is an empathic relationship counsellor. She will give direct feedback to her clients and is skilled in conflict resolution. She has a master’s degree in clinical psychology.

 

Katherine Hunt - Katherine is experienced in working with teenagers and adolescents. She has a master’s degree in clinical psychology.

Katherine has travelled extensively and has a Certificate in Systemic Practice with Families from the University of London (UK), in addition to undertaking Cognitive-Behavioural training at the Oxford Centre for Cognitive Therapy (UK). She has contributed to the writing of a book recently published in the United Kingdom which focuses on the importance of identifying the needs of pregnant women and mothers with severe mental health problems.

Katherine has worked within the Child Mental Health System and Child Protection Systems both in Australia and abroad. She has considerable experience of working with depression, anxiety, and trauma, as well as having experience in addressing other common childhood and adolescent issues, including challenging behaviours, anger management, attachment problems, eating disorders and self-esteem.

 

Dr Remy McCubbin - Dr McCubbin has a doctorate in clinical psychology. He treats Major Depression, Bipolar Depression, Personality Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Psychosis, Anxiety Disorders including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Agoraphobia, Panic Disorder and has a special interest in Social Phobia. He will work as a team member with psychiatrists and GPs. He provides specialised clinical psychology services under Medicare. He also has an interest in relationship counselling.

 

Dr Vanessa Mills - Dr Vanessa Mills is a warm and engaging therapist. She has a high level of skill and a special interest in Family Therapy. She looks at the family as a system as well as the individual within it. She has a special interest in the issues of adoption and blended families. She can work with eating and body image problems.

In addition to the general areas of Anxiety and Depression, Vanessa has a special interest in Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, including the ongoing effects of childhood trauma into adulthood. She can include the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and the techniques of Mindfulness in her treatment program, in addition to a Cognitive Behavioural approach. She also applies these techniques to body image difficulties, including Body Image Dysphoria, Binge-Eating Disorder, Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa.

 

Sandra Wilkinson - Sandra works with parents and their children to teach the parenting skills that will help the parent to best manage their child. The parent(s) should make an appointment to see her on their own before bringing their child. She sees children with behaviour problems, anxiety or depression under Medicare.

Sandra does comprehensive educational assessments for early school entry, learning difficulties and gifted and talented children. She also assesses for Autism and ADHD. She has a master’s degree in psychology.

 

Dora Volleman - Dora engages her clients in therapy and has an interest in long term therapy to address long term issues. Dora Volleman has been a Registered Clinical Psychologist since 1994. She has a master’s degree in clinical psychology.

Dora has a wide range of experience in dealing with relationship difficulties at a personal level, within families and especially within the workplace. As a result of over a decade working for the W.A. Police as a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Manager of Health and Welfare services, she has had extensive experience dealing with workplace stress, communication difficulties, conflict, grief and trauma.

Having also worked in major teaching hospitals and psychiatric settings throughout her career, Dora also has considerable experience working with the more serious range of mental health disorders and psychiatric illnesses, including mood and anxiety based conditions, adjustment difficulties and a range of other behavioural difficulties. She uses a wide range of techniques in her approach.

 

Sally Bowden - Sally has experience working with children, adolescents and adult clients with a variety of psychological and/ or relationship issues. She has over 5 years worth of post-graduate experience. Sally has experience working in a variety of roles in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health system. She has considerable experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, childhood and adolescent issues. Sally has a master’s degree in clinical psychology and is a Clinical Lecturer in the School of Psychology at the University of Adelaide.
